2 YearsCourse Overview
Physics: This subject focuses on the study of matter, energy, and the fundamental forces that govern the physical world. Topics typically include mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics, and modern physics.
Chemistry: Chemistry explores the composition, structure, properties, and changes of matter. Sub-disciplines may include organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, and analytical chemistry.
Mathematics: Mathematics is an essential component of a PCMB course, providing the necessary tools and techniques to understand and solve problems in physics and chemistry. Topics often include calculus, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
Biology: Biology involves the study of living organisms and their interactions with each other and their environment. Subfields may include genetics, ecology, microbiology, anatomy, and physiology.
Students who choose a PCMB combination in their high school or pre-university education often have the flexibility to specialize in either the physical sciences (such as physics or chemistry) or the life sciences (such as biology or medicine) during their higher education.
