This Cookie Policy & Tracking Notice explains how Creative Education Foundation (“Institution,” “we,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar storage technologies across our campus websites and online portals.
We believe in transparent, student-first browsing. This policy helps you understand what cookies we set, what information they collect, and how you can exercise full control over your preferences.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, smartphone, or tablet when you visit a website. They serve vital functional purposes: helping the website remember your chosen campus unit, preserving your form progress, and ensuring smooth, secure navigation.
Cookies may be:
- Session Cookies: Temporary cookies stored in memory that expire as soon as you close your web browser.
- Persistent Cookies: Cookies that remain on your device for a specified duration or until you manually delete them, allowing the site to remember your preferences on your return.
- First-Party Cookies: Set directly by our website domain to provide core functions.
- Third-Party Cookies: Set by external service providers integrated into our site (e.g., embedded YouTube videos, Google Maps).
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose & Description | Provider / Origin | Persistence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential / Strictly Necessary | Required for the basic operation of the website. They remember your active campus unit selection (e.g. Creative PU College Karkala, HKS Hassan, etc.), maintain PHP session security, and prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF). | First-party (creativeedu.in / local domain) |
Session to 30 days |
| Functional & Preferences | Store your preferred display language, selected stream filters in solved papers, and admission form auto-fill helpers where enabled. | First-party | Up to 1 year |
| Analytics & Performance | Collect aggregated, anonymous statistics on page visits, popular course pages, download counts for solved board exam papers, and page load speeds to help us improve website responsiveness. | First-party / Server logs | Up to 6 months |
| Third-Party Media Embeds | Enabled when you interact with embedded campus tour videos (YouTube) or view campus location maps (Google Maps). These third parties may set cookies to measure viewer engagement and track map preferences. | Google / YouTube | Third-party policy |
3. Other Local Storage Technologies
In addition to traditional cookies, our website may utilize standard browser storage mechanisms:
- HTML5 LocalStorage / SessionStorage: Used to temporarily cache client-side preferences (such as the collapse state of navigation menus or draft form inputs) to deliver a seamless, fast browsing experience. LocalStorage data remains on your device until cleared through browser settings.
4. How to Manage & Disable Cookies
Most modern web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences through their settings menu. You can choose to accept all cookies, be notified when a cookie is issued, or reject cookies altogether:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Apple Safari: Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security → Block All Cookies.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
5. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may periodically update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our technologies or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated revision date.
If you have any questions regarding our use of cookies or tracking technologies, please contact Creative PU College Karkala at creativepucollegekarkala@gmail.com or +91 90198 44492.
