Dengue Control Possible with Community Help – Dr. Shama
Dr. Shama, Medical Officer of Primary Health Center Hirgana, highlighted the need for community cooperation to control dengue. Speaking at a program titled “Dengue Fever Control is Our Responsibility” at Creative PU College, Karkala, organized by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, she stressed the importance of keeping the environment clean and preventing water stagnation to stop Aedes mosquitoes from breeding. She advised seeing a doctor if you have a fever.
Mr. Ganapati Bhat, founder of Creative Education Foundation Karkala, told students that ignoring fevers like dengue and malaria can be fatal and urged them to take precautions. Mrs. Vinuta, Local Community Health Officer, and Mr. Anubelle, Head of Commerce Department, were also present. Mr. Santhosh, a Kannada lecturer, narrated the program and gave a vote of thanks.
